The second book for George, and a culmination of thirty years of thoughts. Coach MacArthur lost his home and most of his possessions in Hurricane Jeanne, which struck Ft. Pierce, FL in 2004; he was able to save his writing. He has pulled his special talents together to share with us. Some of you guys might think you have been left out of the loop of new age thought and spiritually, George is here to say, the men are alive and well with their own thinking of what the new age is all about. His poems will make you laugh and make you stop and think for a minute about everyday life from a man's point of view. He is very new and refreshing.

I checked my baggage three and four times to make sure all was accounted for, and I check my pocket at least a dozen times, as I would throughout the trip. I was ready and I had forgotten nothing, we were off!
The early morning was cool after scorching Florida heat the day before.
The day before, I had spent a couple of hours at the beach at sunset, knowing I would not see it again for five weeks. Ihad gotten the housecleaned for my house sitter who would be moving in on
Saturday. He will be cutting the lawn and taking care of the place.
Candace was taking me to the airport, she owed me a ride or two, but gettingup a 3 o'clock in the morning is beyond any possible debt. Thank you dear friend! We headed north in my vintage
faded blue BMW with the sunroof blowing in the cool air...

China continues... I was beginning to feel free. Candace and I have a ritual of stopping at IHOP, the last restaurant before the airport for a last meal. As I got out of the car, I checked my pockets again and pulled up my pants as I headed into breakfast. Then I froze, why were my pants sliding past my hips? I had forgotten my belt. As I sat down in the booth I thought "what am I going to do? " I was sure the Chinese didn't want to see my butt hanging out, any more than anyone else did. I suppose I could buy a belt in Shanghai, but i was dubious, there are not many Chinese with my waist size. We talked about a quick trip to a 24 hr. Walmart, but would one be open? How stressful would that be? We scoffed down our food in hopes we could find a Walmart and a belt. As our portly waiter handed us the check,
Eureka!!! it came to me. The solution is always before us. "Would you to sell
that belt you've got on?" after a short negotiation, a small undisclosed amount of cash and a belt were exchanged. As we left I glanced back to see my waiter hitching up his pants with one hand and serving a stack of blueberry hotcakes to a couple of blurry eyed, well tattooed bikers with the other hand. And so the journey began...
